RESPONSE: I apologize. I had checked my book and thought I checked on both sides of 1892 and did not see their marriage. I rechecked again this am. and located what appears to be their marriage. This is only an Index so you would have to order the marriage record iformation from the courthouse. CARRELL, Thomas to GIBBS, Annly in 1889, Book 5 , Page 286 I've been to that courthouse. Be prepared there may not actually be any marriage record as such. What I found they mostly had were huge volumes of books with more like registery's in that. It would include the name of the bride and groom, the minister and the complete date, including day and month. In some cases there was an actual record we could copy but not in most of them. I believe they charge maybe $3 or something like that. We just used their copier machine in the courthouse and made copies for maybe 10 cents or something like that. Joyce C. Message text written by INTERNET:[email protected] >Joyce, Morning! I have just received, and copied out, a register report for the MADDOX family. This was sent to me by Denny & Marla from the web site. There is some info about Thomas CARROLL and Elizabeth GIBBS but I'm not sure it is correct. In reference to their marriage, they give a source as the "Clairborne Co., TN Marriages 1838-1935" by Mark Treadway, bk 5, pg 286. Since you mentioned checking for Clairborne marriages c 1892, I was wondering if you have this particular book? If so, will you check page 286 for me? Thanks Pat<
