    3. Ray, I believe the Luther Rice you're talking about could have been a descendant of Benjamin Ajax Rice who was the son of Stephen's brother John Robert Rice. It is rumored, however, that Benjamin Ajax might NOT have been a Rice but a son of John's wife who had been married to a Saunders/Sanders and may have taken the name "Rice". It would be great to find one of Benjamin Ajax Rice's descendants as well to take the DNA test. If it matche's Stephen Rice's DNA then it would disprove the theory that Benjamin was a Saunders instead of a Rice. Some of the Seabolts who moved up around Edmondson Kentucky were related to my Howell's from White County, Tennessee... 1. WILDER DNA Project Update
    2. Beth Adams
    3. Hi Everyone, We recently had two more WILDER lines tested. One from Uel WILDER (m. Lucinda HORNSBY) and John WILDER (m. Nancy JOHNSON). John and Uel were both the sons of Joseph "Good Old Joe" and Hannah HALL. We have received only one result back so far for John's line and expect to receive Uel's results within the coming week. The results from the participant for John's line matched Sampson WILDER's line at the 12 marker test. This Sampson married Mary "Polly" ADAMS. We will be upgrading John's line to the 25 marker when funds become available. We are still searching for more direct male WILDER descendants to participate in the WILDER DNA Project. If you are a direct male descendant or know of anyone who is and would like to participate in the WILDER DNA Project, please feel free to contact me. We are also corresponding with a direct male WILDER descendant from England to participate in the Project. I will post Uel's results when they are received. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thanks, Beth WILDER DNA Project Administrator

    2. Hi, I am curious who the parents were of your James COX. I have a family link to the James Harvey COX who died in Bell Co. James was b. 1836 in Hancock Co., TN and died in 1922. He was married first to a Mahala IMES and second to Amelia/Permelia HUBBARD-GAMBREL TAYLOR in 1895. She had earlier on been married to Alexander William TAYLOR in Knox Co. in 1885. Alex TAYLOR was the younger brother to my g-grandfather, Harrison TAYLOR, with both sons of Cornelius Alexander and Sarah WALKER TAYLOR. James Harvey's son, George Washington COX, was a close neighbor to my grandfather, Garrett TAYLOR, off Yellow Creek and was married to Elizabeth "Lizzie" MIRACLE. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA

    3. Mary, As far as anyone knows, Anna's maiden name is unknown. I don't know anyone who's discovered much more information than is found on David Hoskins's site. Have you sent for Anna's death certificate to see if it's listed on it? I guess you've checked the 1910 & 1920 censuses? If not, let me know and I would be glad to do so.
