I'd like to know more about this. My grandparents are buried in a cemetery just above this radio station and we haven't been able to find the graves. I can't remember the name of the cemetery right now. list a friend told me sometimw back WAL-MART bought and moved a cemetary near the WMIK radio station. if so what was the name? & where were the graves relocated? is the lighted cross still on the hill?. thanks Ray Moore. I have listed my recent ethnic origins below so that I can explain some things to the best of my knowledge. I could give a theory that I have for Russia and all of the countries next to Russia but I will not because it is just a theory and may not have any scientific basis at all. As for haplogroups T1 is European. I think that there are five Native American haplogroups which consist of A, B, C, D, and X. I did have a genetic match to 59 individuals who also had a DNA test of some sort. Including one listed as Inidan Territory Oklahoma, Tribal Fox, and New Mexico as well as Arizona does this tell me anything ? No it does not. Surnames I connected to were Green, Williams, Turner, Turner-Thomas, Sherman, Larson, and a whole slew of others, some seemingly Jewish. I guess what I am trying to say is that this test will help connect me to my biological mothers lines at some point. When I had the test I did not know that matches could be thousands of years ago. Belarus Czechoslovakia England France France Germany Ireland Lithuania Moldovia Netherlands Norway Poland Romania Russia Scotland Switzerland Ukraine United Kingdom United States Unknown Origin Wales Poland, Ukraine, Czechoslovakia, and France are all listed as Ashkenazi which if I am not mistaken is Jewish. I have a recent ethnic origin of the United States. Again, if I am not mistaken you do not get an ethnic origin for the United States unless it is Native American. If anyone knows any different please feel free to interject at any time. I think that it is important to remember that this is only my mtdna or my mother, my mothers mother, my mothers mothers mother. Does it show that I do not have Native American DNA no it does not. In fact, it would show the opposite since ethnic origins are from the United States. Does it tell me how much NA DNA I have NO. It also does not tell me how much DNA I have from any ethnic origin. Does it help me easily find NA ancestors NO. It does tell me that I have Native American ancestors on my mothers side somewhere. It would seem that it also tells me that I have Jewish ancestors somewhere. I think both groups were discriminated against in American throughout history to some degree, Native American more than Jewish. Yes, America was no safe haven for the Jewish. Well, I have said enough

Hello, I am looking for information on a Delia Blanton (b. Twila, Harlan Co., KY) and "Math" McGeorge (assuming that's Matthew McGeorge), born Calvin, Bell Co., KY. They were the parents of a son Frank McGeorge who died May 7, 1927. He was laid to rest at Wallins Creek. The informant on Frank's death certificate was "Lish Blanton" of Twila. Who were the parents of Delia? Who were the parents of "Math" McGeorge? Did this couple have other children? Were they in the 1930 census in either Harlan or Bell counties? Does anyone have dates/places of birth/marriage/death for this couple? Sincerely, Mary in CA

From CRR: Hi Cousins; Are any of you related to the OWENS family of Bell County? I came across an auction on Ebay for two wonderful 16x20 portraits, one of a young girl and one of a man, from an estate sale in Ky. I emailed the seller and he told me they are members of an OWENS family from Bell County. I thought some of their family members might, by some stroke of luck, be on this list. How great it would be to see these reunited with their own family. The auction page is at; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& category=40026&item=3772851877&rd=1 and http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6142857316 Best wishes, Margy Miles _______________________________________
