    1. Katie Woolum Smith
    2. Hello, I got a death certificate for Katie Woolum Smith on Monday, and she died May 6, 1940, in Bell County, Ky. She was married to Millard Smith. She was the daughter of John and Belle Baker Woolum. She was 26 when she died. I am trying to figure out which Millard Smith she was married to and more about her parents. . Here is the tree that I have put together from the death certificate. Descendants of John Woolum 1 John Woolum .. +Belle Baker ......... 2 Katie Woolum 1908 - May 3,1940 ............. +Millard Smith 1914 - Also, on Millard Smith, I have one who was born on Dec. 19, 1913 in Bell County, Ky. and he was the son of Tom and Matilda Jackson Smith, and he married my grandmother, Litha Spurlock, on May 18, 1946. He had been married before according to their marriage certificate. So I am wondering if this is the same Millard Smith who was married to Katie Woolum. 3. I really haven't done any research on the Wilders. I now my mother had a cousin named Warden Wilder. He used to come and visit years ago, I haven't heard anything of him in years. There is also a cousin named Ray Wilder, he still lives in Bell Co. I think. He is on the committee that takes care of the Buell Cemetery where my grandparents are buried. 1. MY Lines
    2. Penny
    3. Hi Ray and list, I don't know much about the Collins line except that Obediah seems to have married 3 times at least. 1st in NC and had several kids, 2nd he married probably in NC or TN on his way to Bell Co., KY. Her name was Elizabeth, she was almost young enough to be his daughter. They had at least 2 kids, one was my great grandfather, William Lewis Collins, the other was a son that died the same day he was born in Bell Co. and it listed the cause of death as hereditay or something. I suspect it could have been asthma or breathing disorder since it has run in the family and was the cause of death for my grandmother Josie Collins Radovich. I don't know what happened to Elizabeth, she dissappeared by the 1880 census in Clay Co. Obediah and William are in the Lovins household and in Sept 1880 Obediah married the 3rd wife, Lucy Powell. In 1900, Lucy is married again, this time to a Hensley, but has a Collins son living in the household. I have no trace of Obediah in 1900, perhaps he died. William Lewis Collins and Dora Jones were married in Claiborne Co, TN in the mid 1890's. They had Minnie who married a Yeary and Josephine who married a Combs and had 2 kids, Ruby and Carlie and then she married Sam Radovich and had 2 more kids, Evelyn (my mom) and Doraene. William Lewis Collins was murdered in 1901 as he was leaving the voting polls in Bell Co. The story we were told is that he was stopped on the way to vote and told to vote a certain way or he would be killed. I guess he did not vote the way they wanted him to. My grandmother Josie was only a few days old when this happened. Dora Jones Collins married a couple more times, I think that is where the Miracle & Wilders came in. Later she married a Brooks and had Verda and Selma. My gggg grandfather, David Chadwell is buried in Tazewell, TN at Breastworks Cemetery. The DAR has placed a tombstone on his gravesite. Hi daughter, Susanna married Benjamin Posey and their daughter Temperance married Benjamin Lankford. Their son William married Mary Lyttle. Their daughter, Nan Lankford married Thomas Farley. Their son Eugene is my dad. He turned 88 this past Nov. and is the only living member of a family of 14 kids that is left. Penny
