    1. Preston Shackleford Family
    2. Connie Hoskins
    3. I have James Ervin Shackleford and Sarah Bull as Preston Shackleford's parents. James Ervin Shackelford's parents are William Miracle and Nancy Shackleford. I'm not sure why James Ervin carried the Shackleford name; I don't remember the story, now. James Ervin Shackleford had one brother, Henry S Shackleford, and I don't know Nancy Shackleford's parents' names. Sarah Bull's parents are Preston Bull and Fannie Miracle, so that's likely where Preston Shackleford got his given name. Preston Shackleford and Mary Owens, also, had a daughter named Clarise Shackleford who married a Hendrickson. Does anyone know how many children Preston and Mary had? It sounds like they certainly had quite a few. 1. Surnames I am looking for (Wilder/Miracle)
    2. Molly Scott
    3. Researching WILDER, MIRACLE. Still looking to find a sourced link for Mack Wilder & Jane Miracle Wilder who had child William Walter b. 1884 Pineville; he moved to Tennessee before 1920. I believe William's grandfather was Levi Wilder (not sure which one) as have a picture that says 'grandfather'. Several people have pointed me to Hiram (Mack) Wilder who married Jane Lee, but there is no record of a William being born at this time to them. Any additional clues to connect William to this particular Mack & Jane would be appreciated. My brickwall continues. Does anyone know of any other Mack & Jane that would have had a child in 1884 in Pineville? Sincerely, Molly

    1. SURNAMES I AM LOOKING FOR.....
    2. Beth Adams
    3. WILDER, WILDER, WILDER, and more WILDERs.......<grin>......and related surnames. Still trying to roundup the descendants of Joseph "Good Old Joe" WILDER, who was born on August 3, 1758 in North Carolina and died July 20, 1865 in Buckhorn, Perry County, Kentucky. Family traditions have stated that this man was married to or had relationships with seven different women and fathered thirty-one children in his lifetime. So far, we have proven the following: Last wife: Hannah HALL Children: William, George Washington, John, William Henry Harrison, Uel, and David Relationship: Rhoda SIZEMORE Children: Nelson, Polly, Dempsey, Betsy, and Aggy We are currently working on researching the following relationship of Good Old Joe's...... Wife: Nancy (Last Name Unknown) Children: Sampson (m. Ann Estep), Reason (m. Margaret Jackson), Joseph Jr. (m. Sarah Saylor), Rhoda (m. Andrew Miracle), and 5 other unidentified children that are found residing under Good Old Joe's household in Knox County in 1810. If you have WILDERs in your lines, then you are probably related to this man in some way, shape, or form. I know he's definitely in my bloodstream. I'm related to this man through three of his children so far.......John WILDER (mother: Hannah HALL), Polly WILDER (mother: Rhoda SIZEMORE), and Reason WILDER (m. Margaret JACKSON). I'm the List Admin for WILDER-SOUTH-L and the Admin for the WILDER DNA Project. We currently have two lines of Joseph's DNA tested......John and Uel's (both sons of Hannah HALL). We also have Sampson's (m. Mary "Polly" ADAMS) line tested. All three lines matched at the first 12-markers. This Sampson WILDER is believed to be either a brother or nephew to Good Old Joe. We are constantly looking for direct male WILDER descendants to participate in the DNA Project. If you are a direct male descendant or know of one that would like to participate in the WILDER DNA Project, please feel free to contact me. I would like to correspond with anyone who has WILDERs in their branches. Beth

Hello, For quite some time now, the Bell Co. Mail List has just been rolling along on its own. The former person in this capacity for Bell Co. has disappeared. Mr. Andrew Billinghurst (head of the mailing lists for Rootsweb) has sent out notifications and soon a person will be chosen. I have seen first hand how the selection of a non-involved, non-connected County Coordinator can absolutely ruin a Mail List. I really don't want to see that happen to Bell County's Mail List. You probably have also seen what can happen. I would personally like to nominate CHARLOTTE ANN MILLER for this VACANT position. There are a number of reasons why. l. She wants the position. 2. She is related to a good number of Bell County surnames and she is an active participant in discussions on the Mail List. 3. She continually makes contributions to the Mail List with some examples following: submission of Bell County death records, birth records, marriage records, Obituaries, funeral home records, etc. etc. She is an overall pleasant and caring individual who loves family history and is always willing to help where needed. My plan is to write a personal note to Mr. Andrew BILLINGHURST at: billingh@rootsweb.com. I plan to tell him the selection of CHARLOTTE ANN MILLER would be an excellent choice. If you agree with me, please take a few moments and let him know you also would like Charlotte Ann MILLER to head up the Bell Co. Mail List. Thank you.
