The following obituary appears in today's Howell Daily Press and Argus in Michigan. http://www.dailypressandargus.com GRACE ETHEL HAMMAC Grace Ethel Hammac, 86, of Howell, died Sept. 19 at home. She was born June 23, 1916, in Middlesboro, Ky., the daughter of John Barnett and Mary Chadwell. She married Eli Hammac June 12, 1934; he preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1963. For the past 40 years, Mrs. Hammac had been a caregiver for Monroe Senior Citizens Center in Monroe and a lifetime caregiver, formerly in Monroe. Survivors include two sons, Robert Lee Hammac and Billy Ray Hammac, both of Howell; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen, a son Olen, a sister Mary, and her husband, Eli. A funeral celebration will be held Monday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m. at Bell-Borek Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel, in Howell. Family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 22, from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation. Envelopes are available at Bell-Borek.
