He was born in Bell Co on June 10, 1891, the son of the late Henry and Mary Bullins Brock. He was a life long resident of Bell Co and a member of the Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Varilla Lee Brock of Pineville; four daughters, Mrs. Ann Brynn, Covington, KY., Mrs. Elsie Shellins, Cincinnati, OH., Mrs. Rugy Saylor, Sharonville, OH., Mrs. Susie Metzzer, New Philadelphia, OH; four sons, George Brock, Cincinnati, OH., Edward Brock, Cincinnati, OH., Joe Leo Baker, Sharonville, OH., Tommie Baker, Sandyville, OH; one sister Mrs. Lucy Napier; Hawaii Island; 20 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, August 23, 1970 at 12 noon at the Arnett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thea O. Carter and Rev. Everett Hisle officiating. Friends of the family served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Laurel Hill Cemetery. Arnett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Submitted by Mary Eldridge-Harris. The funeral was held Saturday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Durham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thea O. Carter and Rev. Damon Helton officiating. Burial was in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery at Pineville. Nephews served as pallbearers. They were Reed Helton, Gene Helton, Doyle Helton, Lymuel Helton, Glenn Baker, T.J.
