Hello Listers: I really need some help with this one! I am tryingto locate the parents of William Johnson. b. abt 1838 IN or KY (depending on which census you hold to be true). William married Catherine Godfrey Hunt in Dec 1859 (I think) in Bath Co., KY. I have located them in 1860, 1870, 1880 and 1900. I have recently found an William Johnson on the 1850 Bath Co. census, age 10, living with Joseph Gill Williams b. 1788 and wife Nancy Hasty Williams. Next door to them is their son John Wesley Williams b. 1815 and wife Elizabeth JOHNSON Williams b. 1818 in Manchester, England. Elizabeth's parents are James Johnson b. 1773 and Sarah Johnson b. 1796. James died Sept 1841 in Bath Co., KY. His second wife was Hannah Hisketh. I am tending to believe that William in the son of one of James and Sarah or Hannah's children, but have been unable to find any children except for Elizabeth. I just know someone else must be researching the Johnson's of Bath Co. that could help solve this puzzle. I am also trying to find out when William died. I know it was between 1880 & 1900. Not much help there, I'm afraid. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Karen
