    3. Pete Bailey, 8080 Dartmouth Rd., Indianapolis, IN 45260; < [email protected]>; 4 Apr 2000 Pete: Yes, the TRENVILLA [we spell it Trinvilla] was a SWETNAM. Her sister, MARY ANN SWETNAM, 1809-1898, was marr. to JOHN COLE TACKETT, 1823-1886. They later settled in Johnson Co., MO. I have the ORIGINAL Marriage Bond for the marriage of JOHN C. TACKETT to MARY SWETMAN (sic), as noted below from our database: [among numerous other ORIGINAL Bath Co., records we have.] ___________ From files of The Tackett Family Assn. ___________________ *MARRIAGE [John C. Tackett to Mary Swetnam]: Bath Co., KY Marriage Bond [Below is a transc. from the ORIGINAL given to Hassell Tackett of Pikeville, KY in the 1950's at the Bath Co., KY courthouse where they had a box of original records "up in the attic" that they didn't want. This original record now (1998) in the possession of Jim W. Tackitt, 1830 Johnson Dr., Concord, CA 94520] • "Know all men by these presents that we JOHN C. TACKET and D.S. THOMPSON are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the just and full sum of 50£ current money of Kentucky which payment well and truly to be and do we bind our Selves and Our Heirs and jointly and severally firmly by these present, sealed and dated this 5th day of Sep. 1846. The Condition of the above Obligations is such that whereas this is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solomnized between the above bound JNO. C. TACKET and MARY SWETMAN. Now should there be no Lawful cause to Obstruct said intended marriage then this Obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue." [signed] JOHN C. TACKETT, D.S. THOMPSON "His age sworn to & her by D.S. Thompson" [written on bottom] ___________________ There was also TRINVILLA TACKETT, b c1842, Bath Co., KY, being kin to TRINVILLA SWETNAM. There was also another Tackett in a more recent generation from this family that had the middle name of TRINVILLA. These SWETNAMs & TACKETTs were earlier from Stafford Co., Virginia - as were some of the other early Bath Co., KY families. Jim W.
