I've always heard that where our family is buried the Cemetery is near a lake and on 211 south of Salt Lick and is the Lower Salt Lick Cemetery, does any of this sound familiar? Well, I'll let you go, wondered if maybe you could help me out with location of the cemetery so when I go back down there I can look it up. Thanks a bunch, Patty >> Patty, I have been there but I can't tell you how . It sits on a hillside and I remember we drove thru a field to get there. As you look at the grave markers you realize it was probably started as a family cemetery and was put there because it was land unfit for cultivating. The big trees now were probably just saplings as evidenced by the displacement of the grave stones. Some have been literally pushed from their original location by the tree growth. Lots of fallen leaves and lots of Snakes in the right season. We wore big high boots and I was still scared. I do remember a quarry of some sort in the back of it as there were some men target practicing with live bullets and we immediately headed for the car. I am forwarding this to the Bath Co.
