--WebTV-Mail-2434-2717 Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Gayle The Archives, and Historical Society have reels of microflim sent in by each Ky county containing: vital stats, deeds, some of these dating back to 1790's on deeds. Tax records, military records for Civil War and Mexican War, etc. Some of these may be available for interlibrary loaning for those who live out of state. Your library may be able to tell you. With some counties, there are gaps where courthouses had fires, or were destroyed by the war, etc. Kay --WebTV-Mail-2434-2717 Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Message/RFC822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Received: from mailsorter-101-3.iap.bryant.webtv.net (209.240.198.120) by storefull-146.iap.bryant.webtv.net with WTV-SMTP; Sun, 25 Jun 2000 17:17:00 -0700 (PDT) Return-Path: <[email protected]> Received: from zinc.eosinc.com (zinc.eosinc.com [208.167.184.23]) by mailsorter-101-3.iap.bryant.webtv.net (8.8.8-wtv-d/ms.dwm.v7+dul2) with ESMTP id RAA13321 for <[email protected]>; Sun, 25 Jun 2000 17:16:59 -0700 (PDT) Received: from springnet1.com (7eos192.eosinc.com [208.169.34.192]) by zinc.eosinc.com (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id SAA26207 for <[email protected]>; Sun, 25 Jun 2000 18:02:39 -0500 Message-ID: <[email protected]> Date: Sun, 25 Jun 2000 19:19:31 -0500 From: G Swoik <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.5 [en]C-CCK-MCD {TLC;RETAIL} (Win98; U) X-Accept-Language: en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Fwd: Re: [KYBATH] Where Are Records Kept? This does help even though most of the info I'm searching for is older. At least now I know where to find the more current info.
