Okay, here's my query. Archibald RAMSAY settled in Nicholas County, KY, ca. 1812 and died ca. 1824. However, there is a will listed for an Archibald Ramsay in Bath Co. in 1823 and may be the same guy. I would like to get a copy of that will and find out more about him if he was in Bath Co. around that time. Any suggestions on who would be good to contact to get a copy of that will? Looking for information about family and parentage of Alexander RAMSAY b.ca.1754 in PA? d. 1 Jan 1807 in Fleming County, KY. Captain in Rev War in PA line, maybe settled in Huntingdon County, PA, after war. Married in Penn. and had a son named Archibald. After first wife died, left Archibald in PA with a grandfather and moved to KY ca. 1795. Married Mary "Polly" WILLS in Bourbon County, KY in 1795. I am descended from their first son William Burke RAMSAY, b. 1795 at Mason County, KY, and d. 1876 in Putnam County, IN. William married Elizabeth McANULTY in 1820 in KY and they moved to Portland Mills, IN, ca. 1826. I have looked at the LDS IGI in depth and have that info.
