Howdy! I would appreciate any assistance in locating a CASSITY family tie to my gggfather, Alvin B. CASSITY; b. 11 Feb. 1826 in Owingsville, KY. I have not been successful in locating any family relations in Bath County or even from Bath County who are his kin. Records seem to indicate that after the Mexican War & his service in the military, he left Kentucky for Missouri. He married Sarah Ann Cantrell & they lived in Bates County, Missouri until after the Civil War. Later, they moved on to Texas where they lived out their lives. Surely someone has a CASSITY family with a missing son. Any clues would be most helpful. Happy Trails! Ray George in Texas
