    3. Ray, Can you tell me more about YOUR Alvin. I have an Alvin Cassity who was my Great Great Grandfather from Bath county. He married Mary Ellen Unknown. Alvin was born about 1818 and died abt. March 1888. This is NOT your Alvin, but I bet they are related??? CASSITY; b. 11 Feb. 1826 in Owingsville, KY. I have not been successful in locating any family relations in Bath County or even from Bath County who are his kin. Records seem to indicate that after the Mexican War & his service in the military, he left Kentucky for Missouri. He married Sarah Ann Cantrell & they lived in Bates County, Missouri until after the Civil War. Later, they moved on to Texas where they lived out their lives. > > Surely someone has a CASSITY family with a missing son. Any clues would be most helpful. > > Happy Trails! > Ray George > in Texas >
