Jamison Surveyor-Road 1821 Feb Spencer Boyd- Richard Boyd mentioned Re: Road "Richard Boyd dies in Bath Co. in 1825 and wills his land to son George and wife Mary and 'other children,' whom he does not list. Jasper Clayton gives security for the will, and Mary and son George are named executors There is a Richard who marries Polly Downie in Bourbon County about 1800, -that might be the Bath Co., Richard. Richard shows up in the Montgomery County 1800 census. He’s listed in the 1811 Bath County tax list as owning 100 Acres on Prickly Ash. He still owns the 100 acres on Prickly Ash in the 1823 tax list, and he buys more land on Prickly Ash in 1824 (Deed book D). He’s in the Bath County 1810 and 1820 censuses. Spencer the older makes Richard his attorney in 1816 because Spencer seems to be leaving town for a while and he wants Richard to collect his wages for militia work. Drury Birge is a witness: this would be DB I, I think because DB II wouldn't be old enough probably."
