    1. [KYBATH] Migration to Middletown
    2. Marilyn Rabens
    3. Hello all, I know that our group has discussed the Middletown migration in past years and I THINK that we also covered the different occupations that our KY folks pursued in Ohio. Thanks to the online 1920 census index on Ancestry.com, I was able to find two great uncles I have been searching for for several years: Daniel Boone Downs (married to Peach Daniels) and John Downs (married to Elizabeth Cornwell.) The census tells me that one of them worked at a steel mill. I cannot make out the other one's occupation and am looking for some help. All I can get out of it is "Bicycle -----" Whatever it was he was doing with bicycles, his 19 year old son was also involved in the same profession. Does anyone have any ideas what their jobs might have been? Thanks, Marilyn

    3. Marilyn, my great uncle Strawder Kendall's occupation was "Laborer - Bicycle Co." in the 1920 Middletown, Butler, Ohio census. He was age 20 at that time. I assume the company was a bicycle manufacturer. Another possibility is a playing card company but I don't remember hearing or reading anything to confirm that company's presence. Jim
