    3. Hi David, So you are planning a trip to Owingsville too? My sister and I went last October and had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Fairfied Inn in Mt. Sterling which is just down the road from Owingsville. The price was reasonable and there were several restaurants all around the motel. In Owingsville we went to the courthouse and did some research there. There are quite a few books full of records, and the people who work there are very helpful. They will make copies for you if you find anything useful. I don't know if they are open on weekends or not, since we were there on a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Across the road from the courthouse is the new library. There is a genealogy room with a lot of information. There are books, microfilm, microfilm machines, census info, etc. You should be able to find out alot there. There were also some deeds and wills. These were the only two places that we did any searching since we went there mainly to visit some relatives of my Dad's. I don't remember what the hours were for the library, but surely someone from the Bath Co. list knows that. You could also go to the Bath Co. Webpage and check out the library info. I hope this helps. Good luck on your trip.
