The following obituary was contributed by Mary Jane Sorrell [[email protected]] "Charles Allen Sorrell, Sr. 95, formerly of Eaton, Ohio, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at the Trinity Retirement Community in Beavercreek. He was born Nov. 7, 1904, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Harvey and Marietta Morris Sorrell. He retired as a machinist from Hovens Manufacturing and was a member of the Eaton Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Rev. Charles A. Sorrell, Jr. of Dayton, James H. Sorrell of Middletown, New York, and Ray T. Sorrell of Richmond, Va.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene P. Binder Sorrell on Oct 22, 1995; and one grandson. Graveside services were held at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio, on Tuesday, March 14, 2000." [Charles A. Sorrell, Sr. is the grandson of Elisha Sorrell (b. 1845, Bath, Kentucky; d. 1934, Hamilton, Butler, Ohio) and Arrena Curry (b. 1845, Pendleton, Kentucky?; d. 1918, Hamilton, Butler, Ohio).
