Does anyone know if there is a book on the Bethel Cemetery showing who is buried there. I have a Cival War Veteran Jonas R. Warner whose death certificate says the body was taken to Bethel. I did not find a stone when I was there last fall and I am trying to locate his grave so I can have a Military marker put on it. If there is such a book does anyone know who I would contact to see if he is listed in it. Thanks, Darrell Check out the Lady Rockets Soccer Club Website at http://freepages.sports.rootsweb.com/~warner/rockets.htm See the Warner family tree posted at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~warner/surnames.htm

Hello List, On the 1880 census for Bath there is a ROBERT CHARLES, I would like to know who his parents & siblings are. Would someone with the 1850-1860 censuses see if they can find him. He has a 13 yr. old son on the 1880 census so he would probably have married by 1870. Will sharp was a postal carrier back in the 30's. He married Lida Myers, dau of Marcus and Mariah Ralls Myers. I do have Lida's death cert that J. Will signed but that's it. She was born in 1868 so figure they were married about 1888. They are listed in the 1910 Mira-Code Index: Will is 44, LIda 42, son John L. 20, son, Ollie 14, dau., Lou B. 12, father John 70, and brother Charlie 38. All born in Ky. There must be marriages somewhere for them in Bath Co. Will and LIda lived in Sharpsburg. Can anyone tell me anything about this family? Jane in Idaho
As on today, I have now added my collection of 1910 obituaries from the Owingsville Outlook. There are a few I have still to transcribe and they will be added soon. I have them posted at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~warner/bath-paper-obits.htm When I get more time I will go back through the microfilm and double check that I did not miss any. Harley, right kite - wrong back yard Billie
I think we should start a Historical Society in Abstencia and just maybe we could convince Bille to be the onsite leader. What ya think, JO. Harley
Hi folks, I finally got all the obits I have collected posted at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~warner/bath-paper-obits.htm Enjoy, Darrell Check out the Lady Rockets Soccer Club Website at http://freepages.sports.rootsweb.com/~warner/rockets.htm See the Warner family tree posted at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~warner/surnames.htm
I stand corrected. I ASSUMED the Memorial Library on Main St. was Historical Library. It has a wonderful genealogy section of it that is well worth visiting. I located a great deal of useful information when I was there several years ago. Zahn Dawson Burdick
I live in Bath County and worked at the library for a few years up until 3 years ago. There is a genealogy room at the library and it is a very good one but there isn't a genealogy society or historical society and never has been as far back as I can recall. There are several folks interested in having one but noone who wants to spearhead it. There is one lady here in the county who has extensive knowledge and has done a lot of genealogy work - she volunteered at the library in the genealogy room for a year and half but eventually quit. It is a shame that a county so rich in history is so lacking in interest but that seems to be the case. Billie Hunt bhunt@ycnx.net

In the years roughly 1780-1835 there seems to have been a large clan of Caldwells in Bath and Nicholas counties. Does anyone know of the origin of this family?
Thought I'd let the list know that someone informed me that: Unlike many other Kentucky counties, Bath County does not currently have any historical or genealogical society. Pity -- wish it were otherwise, Marianne ----- Original Message ----- > I would like to join the genealogical society for Bath Co, KY . May I please have address and dues information?
