    1. [KYBATH] Information
    2. Roxanne
    3. Many people have written to me since I posted the second offer to do look-ups, especially on the more common names found in Bath County. I am going to list the pictures I have for each of those names, and send directly to the list.. If you have asked for that info. look over the names and if you see a name you would like to have a picture for, write me a private e-mail and I will copy that picture (s) for you.. Several people have asked me if I live in Bath Co., and the answer is no..I have never even been there..I did not know that I had a KY connection until my mothers death and I found the info on my grandfather and great grandfather, who were both born in Owingsville..My Mothers Mother and her family, the McGary's, Haydens, Naylors and Adams family are all from Fleming Co. I was born in Illinois, but moved to the West when I was a baby, so I only dream now of seeing KY..My life has been Calif,. Nevada and Oregon for all my 53 years.. Please do not send money in advance..this is on a donation type deal..all I want covered is the postage, envelopes and copying..just send me what you think its worth after you get your packet. If you do not see any pictures that you want, or I say there is none on your family, but you would still like to have the 2 page history of Bath Co. and pictures of the old downtown areas, etc., please ask for those..I know if I did not have this book, I would have jumped at a chance to see the area in pictures..as I do not know if I will ever get back there..so if anyone on the list cares to do something for me, send me a scanned pic or two that you have taken of the area so that I can see what it looks like now..I would appreciate that! Several have asked me why I did not scan these pictures to folks? I am on WebTV which does not have the capability for a scanner, in fact I do not even have a printer hooked to my unit..I am a low budget kind of operation! Again, thanks to all the wonderful folks who have said I was doing a good job, that means a lot..this is my labor of love to provide pictures that someone may not have of their ancestors..I have my husband as assistant when I go to the print shop..he carefully crosses off each picture I xerox from the list..we make a good team! I am enclosing my mailing address and e-mail at the end of this note.. Roxanne Garrett Box 7615 Klamath Falls, Oregon 97602 [email protected] If you think you would like to call, e-mail me privately and I will send phone # and good time to call.. 1. [KYBATH] Bath Co. Pictorial history
    2. Roxanne
    3. To my KY "cousins".. The offer to do look-ups for the pictures in my Bath Co. Pictorial History book is still good..this is an open offer to anyone who wants pictures of this area and families. If you have contacted me and I have not got back to you, its because I was getting the first group done and mailed, which was today. Now, I will start the second group of people who wrote to me and will get those pictures out next week. If you have contacted me and have decided you are interested in receiving pictures on your family, let me know, I still have all the e-mails in my file so I know who wants what pictures looked up. This book also contains a short (2page) history of Bath Co., and Recollections sheet, and old pictures of Salt Lick, Owingsville and Sharpsburg..I am including those pictures with each envelope mailed out because if you have not been there, then these pictures will mean at lot. If anyone on the list happens to be researching any of the African American families that were there in the early 1900's there are pictures of a couple of those old familes that I would also like to see get in the right hands. The following families have the most pictures, so if you are an ancestor of any of the following names, and do not have this book, you might want to contact me: Staton, Snedegar, Roberts, Perry, Shrout, Bailey and Goodpaster..there are many pictures of members of those families.. 3. I have a Generations program for my genealogy program. I am having problems converting information to a workable file for one of my works programs. Can anyone help me? I get all gobbledygook when I take a copy a file and then try to run it in a works or word program. I don't want to print the whole thing out and then scan it and put it back, but I guess I can if that is the only way. I have works 2000 on this pc. I understand Generations has a conflict with it....I don't know. Would appreciate any suggestions. Betty
