Lost knapsack at battle of Shiloh (Shiloh, TN) on 7 Apr 62. Captured at Battle Creek, TN 16 Jul 62 by Colonel N. B. Forrest and paroled at Sparta, TN on 26 Jul 62. Deserted and did not return to regiment until 25 Mar 64 at Chattanooga, TN. Was court-martialed and confined in stockade at Paris, KY. Died 20 Mar 65 at Paris, KY of pneumonia. Death certificate states was 31 yrs at time of death, had a wife named Jane and was born at Rocky Hill Station, Barren Co, KY Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
