Despite house remodeling, seminars, poison ivy and a touch of something or other, I have finally finished a new Edmonson Co cemetery book. About 15 yrs ago I received a photocopy of a cemetery book done at sometime in the late 1970's that belonged to the late Eva Coe Peden. It was a bad copy and the title page was missing. Some time later I found about 100 pages of cemetery records at an area library and have had copies of them all these years, stuck in a file. I decided to start going through them and type them up into better order. I found a majority of them not to be complete transcriptions but they were not shown in that original cemetery book. I then contacted Charles Finn of this list who back in the late 1990's through 2002ish drove to Edmonson Co and transcribed a LOT of cemeteries that were not recorded in print - and updates to many who were. Charles sent me all of his files and gave me permission to publish them. I am eternally grateful to Charles, not only for his permission, but for the many, many hours he spent copying all these cemeteries. The finished product is 193 pages long, contains bout 853 surnames and over 7,500 individual entries. I have done them in a table format rather than the standard cemetery by cemetery. Now each surname is listed in alphabetical order with all the information that was found so the reader can trace their family immediately without hopping from index to cemetery back and forth. There are likely errors - there always are when trying to read some of these old stones. If I had a question on any of them, I so indicated. Charles put in additional information including a LOT of marriages and military information when found. On the updated cemeteries, I included all the names & information which included those who had died since the original book was published.
