I was told that whe he was released from prison,since he would be lynched if he came back to Ky.,he moved to Missouri.I was told by my father,Winford,Bookers nephew,that "Uncle Book" would make visits to Ky. Apparently he did well in Missouri as that he would bring "gifts" to them,such as large squares of chocolate which were quite a delicacy at that time.Also,my father received a sum of money from Uncle Books estate when it was settled,as did his brothers.I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the Steenbergen brothers.I have one of my grandfather George.He was quite contrary a man and refused to have his picture made.
