    1. [KYBARREN] IN CLOSING MONDAY, 1 OCT 2007, PUZZLER, BRICK WALLS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
    2. Sandi Gorin
    3. Good morning on the 1st day of October already! 1 - Charles has posted the answer to my puzzler of last week - for the very first time, there were no correct answers! Thanks for the few who tried though, it is appreciated. He has also posted the puzzler for this week, hopefully there will be more correct guessers! To take a guess, click on the URL in my signature line called Sandi's Genealogical Puzzlers. 2 - This week I'm opening up queries on your brick walls for surnames beginning with G through J. If you are hunting for information for any of your ancestors who were in any of the counties covered by these lists, send in that query - make your subject line start with BRICKWALL - (name). One query per week please. 3 - I am beginning a multi-part series on my KYRESEARCH list which might be of interest to you. It is dealing with Petitions of the Early Inhabitants of Kentucky to the General Assembly of Virginia 1769 to 1831. The first two posts will list the 102 petitions that have survived in Virginia from the residents of what was then the County of Kentucky VA. Then beginning in the 2nd post and continuing until finished is a list of all the names of the citizens of VA who were living in what was to become KY with a reference back to the petition number(s) where their name appears. One will find a lot of names of our early settlers who ended up in the counties covered on this list. If you're not a subscriber to KYRESEARCH, I invite you to join. This is a once a week post on Thursdays and the list does not take queries so you won't be overrun with email. To subscribe to this list, send an email to KYRESEARCH-REQUEST@rootsweb.com and put the word Subscribe in the subject line and in the body of the email, nothing else. If you're already receiving my weekly posts, you do not need to subscribe again. 4 - I finally updated my Eudora email program and am working my way through all the differences from my very old program. If anything comes out looking strange, let me know and I'll try to figure out what I'm doing wrong! Have a great week on me!
