    2. My brickwall is my 5ggf, Richard JONES, who died in Barren County between 12 April 1833 and 1840. He had one known child, Sampson JONES (c.1771-before Dec. 1854). Sampson married Sarah "Sally" MILES on 20 June 1793 in Franklin County, VIRGINIA and they moved to Barren County, KENTUCKY between 1810 and 1816, where he acquired land on Little Creek.. Testimony of Richard JONES in his Revolutionary War Pension application contained the following information: "...he is now upward of eighty seven years old that he was at the commencement of the revolution a citizen of Brunswick county Virginia that he was three times drafted into the service ...he then removed from Brunswick county to Henry county Virginia was there drafted in Captn David Bartens Company...removd from Virginia in 1806 -- or 1807 -- to Warren County Kentucky &from Warren to Allen County -- & from Allen to Barren County where I have livd for the last Ten or eleven years...that he was born the 9th of May 1745...& further that he was born on Rapahanock River Essex County Virginia." In the 1810 Warren County, KENTUCKY census, Richard JONES' household includes one female over 45, one female 26-45, and one female under 10. Their identies are unknown. In the 1820 Allen County, KENTUCKY census, Richard JONES' household includes one female over 45, identity unknown. In 1830, Richard JONES is enumerated with his son, Sampson JONES, in Barren County, KENTUCKY. Who were his parents, siblings, his wife(s) and his children?
