I am searching for further information on the William JONES who is named in the following Barren and Warren County, KY records. I have been told there is possibly a lawsuit in Barren County that names his children. These records were taken from posts made by Sandi Gorin to the SCKY mailing list. My thanks to Sandi. Recorded. 4 July 1797 Thos HENDRICKS, David WALLIS and John BAILEY (any 2) to view for a road from Charles LUCAS's to JONES' Ferry on Big Barren River, thence to the 12-Mile grove, thence to AMOS's on the Green River. 7 Nov 1797 Thomas MORRIS to view for a road from the mouth of the Little Barren to Prewitts Knob to intersect a road from JONES Ferry to the Elk Lick and make report. Will JONES with James STUART his Security came into Court and entered into bond for the true performance of his ferry. 5 Dec 1797 John HIGHTOWER appt overseer of the road from LUCAS's to JANE's (JONES?)
