CC Owen's father was George Washington Owen, and his uncle (GW Owen's brother) was named Thomas Jefferson Owen. CC Owen's siblings were: Louisa 1827- Leutitia Cynthia 1827-1908 Joel Cornelius 1834-1915 Wilson William 1837-1857 Elizabeth Helen 1840- Martha Jane 1847- CC Owen married Caroline Russell Their children were: Hiram F. b. ca. 1851 Isabel b. ca. 1853 George P. b. ca. 1855 Sarah E. b. ca. 1858 John R. b. ca. 1860 James Wilson Mar. 12, 1864-Nov. 20, 1942 (buried Forest Park Cemetery, Houston, TX) Albert M. b. ca. 1866 Emma b. ca. 1869 Edward E. b. ca. 1875 Isaac T. b. ca. 1878 My line of the family descends from CC Owen through James Wilson Owen (identified in some places as Thomas W. Owen with the same birth year of 1864; however, I have the death certificate of James Wilson Owen showing father as CC Owen, as well as listings in the Missouri and Texas census records). James Wilson Owen married May "Maggie" Brumfield (1871-1954), and their children were: Maywood Berry Owen I (1892-1957) moved to Houston 1917, buried Forest Park Cemetary, Houston Russell S. Owen (1897-1972) moved to Houston 1912, buried Forest Park Cemetary, Houston Ruth Owen Jet Owen Brooks "Aunt Brooksie" Owen (per my grandmother and aunt, she married Marney Mason, lived in Comanche TX, and had a son name Marney Jr. who died in WWII as a bomber pilot) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
