I don't know if all of you are aware of this or not, but google has a huge selection of books on line. They are searchable and many can be downloaded to your computer - many genealogy books! Go to google.com Click on advanced (to the right of the search field) On this screen click on books Enter your search term - you have 2 options: Full view or non-full view. Full view means that the entire book is online and can be downloaded. If the book is still under copyright, it will show you a large "blurb" where your search term appears and also show you where and if that book is available for sale. Your search term is highlighted in yellow and the search engine is better than average - not too many "false hits". You can also view in full screen mode allowing you to see more of the page without scanning up and down. Maybe this will help some of you!
