Those of you who have been on these lists for awhile know that I usually do something different over the upcoming Christmas holidays; tho I didn't do it last year. Between now and Christmas, I am opening up the list (and you know that's rare <grin>) to you guys for other than queries. If you have a special Christmas memory - either from KY or elsewhere (since your ancestors were here!), please share it with the list. I normally write a Christmas story too, if I can find the time. All of your memories will be compiled and as many as I can squeeze in, will appear also on my KYRESEARCH list and later in my Guide to Kentucky Researching series. You may use your full name, or just your email address, or if you don't either to appear, let me know privately. Is there a special Christmas that you remember from your childhood? A hard winter weather? A Christmas when money was slim and you didn't get to celebrate? An ancestor's Christmas story that you know about? Were you a soldier far away from home and missing your family? Did you share the holiday with someone special? Make the subject line Christmas Memories so we can spot them easily. If you don't want your story to appear anyplace else, let me know that too privately. We have had some memorable stories over the years some that brought heavy tears to our eyes, some that made us laugh out loud, some that brought back memories of our own Christmases.
