Good morning and Happy New Year. Now we have to learn to write 2008! I wish you all a very happy new year when all of your genealogy puzzles are solved! Charles has posted the puzzler for the week and you can take a guess by click on the URL in my signature line called Sandi's puzzlers. I will not be posting tomorrow but will be back Wednesday hopefully! I do not know what series I'll begin for the Barren Co Monday posts yet ... but I am going to make 3 posts, possibly all today, about a murder mystery that has three endings. One we know is wrong, but the other two are "up for grabs" It happened in Barren (now Metcalfe Co) in 1817 and was the first recorded murder after Barren Co became a county in 1798/9. Many of you have heard the story, but have you heard the ending. I want to tell you the "rest of the story" and let you decide! The rootsweb boards are still goofed up. If you make a post to the Barren Co board, likely you will get an error message. Most of the time the post was actually made, sometimes 2-3 times! I've been trying to delete the duplicate messages but this doesn't seem to be working either. Have patience!
