I am not sure if we are related or not at this time but very interested in trying to find out as they lived only a short distance from our Settle family in Todd Co Ky. I have been to the area and taken pictures of the Settle street sign, however was unable to see the marker as was knocked down and in storage of the house I think it was Franklin Settle's house, also been to the cemetery and have pictures of this if any of you are intested and want me to e-mail copies would be very happy to do so. Have not been able to find a rifle to view however I do have a picture of someone in Utah who has a rifle and I have hopes of seeing someday as don't live too far from Utah. Would also like to find a book by Dewitt Settle I think the name is The Kentucky Settle Rifles, if anyone know of such a book.
