Good morning - I think! As we adjust to the passing of daylight savings time (for most of you!), it's time to get the brain in gear again. The book fair in Greensburg was a lot of fun as always, and I was delighted to get to meet some of you from the lists! After speaking at Mammoth Cave Friday night and the book fair Saturday, I'm running on 1/2 speed and sadly, after spending massive money on the repair of my car 3 weeks ago .... the same thing happened again and the car goes back to the shop Thursday morning. Charles has posted the puzzler for the week and I'm hoping you'll take a look at the question and try to figure out the answer. Click on the URL in my signature line called gen-soup to go to the website where the question is posted. If you live close to Glasgow; I'll be speaking again at the Mary Wood Weldon Library this Saturday. There will be a 2 hour session in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Pre-registration is recommended; their phone # is 270-651-2824 and they are located at 107 W College St. There is no charge. This will be an intermediate class; in the morning I'll be taking a very in-depth look at reading the old handwriting, spelling of the old names, etc. In the afternoon, a very detailed look at the census records i.e., what was included, when they were turned in, why people who were dead were often shown and babies not shown, etc.! Have a great week gang!
