GLASGOW - Alexander Elliott, 82, of Glasgow, [photo] died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at TJ Samson Community Hospital. He was a native of Barren County, and was a retired Master Sargent with the United States Air Force. He served during WW II, Korean, and the Vietnam wars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shed Robert Elliott and Stella Lawson Elliott; wife Celestine Oliver Elliott and four brothers. He is survived by two sons, Alexander Elliott Jr., and Howard Eugene Elliott both of Moreno Valley, CA, a daughter, Keran (Walter) Harrington of Urbana, IL, two grandchildren, Matthew Elliott Harrington and Kyle Catherine Harrington, one great-grandchild Alexander Elliott Harrington, a brother in law, Borkin Riggins (Barbara), a sister in law Cobert Jean Depp Elliott, and a Dear Companion Jane Hayes. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Johnson Chapel CME Church. Burial will follow at the Oddfellow Cemetery in Glasgow,Ky. Visitation begins at 9:00 A.M.
