CAVE CITY - Ruby Cox Ramsey age 87 of Cave City passed away peacefully Thursday January 16, 2014 at the home of her daughter surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Edmonson County , a longtime member of Stockholm Baptist Church and a retired Seamtress. Miss Ruby loved her family very much and was the Matriarch of the Family. She loved her Gardening and her Chickens and enjoyed growing flowers and was a real artist at Quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest O. Ramsey , a son, John Edward Ramsey, Sr. , a daughter Joyce Ann Ramsey, a grandson, Ronald "Junior" Hunt, her parents, Edward Cox and Ellie Kerr Cox and by several brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Sizemore and her husband Johnny of Glasgow, a son, David Ramsey and his wife Deanna of Versailles, KY. Ten grandchildren , Twelve great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. One brother, George Cox of Ohio and a " brother"-nephew , Charles Gibson of Linwood, Four sisters, Mary Jones, Edith Logsdon, Lucy Logsdon and Hazel Hunt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday January 20, 2014 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home Horse Cave with burial to follow in the Campground Cemetery at Cave City.
