GLASGOW - Gene "Ole Dad" Lynn 84 of Glasgow, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Lacy and Ellie Sears Smith Lynn. Gene was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retiree of Ford Motor Co. in Livonia, MI since 1983. He was a devoted and loving family man and loved the outdoors, including fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Fant Lynn; two daughters Julia Hura and husband Larry of Inkster, MI and Barbara Masterton and husband Dennis of Wayne, MI; three grandchildren Jarrod Hura, Corinna Johnson and husband Jim, and Jaime Hura; five great-grandchildren Zachary Johnson, Kiera Hura, Jackson Johnson, Olivia Johnson and Braelyn Hura; two sisters Wynona (Kenneth) Young and Marianna (Mike) Harlow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and George Smith and four sisters Geneva Jones, Freda Graven, Rossie Patterson and Edna Smith Moore. He will be greatly missed and remembered always with our love. A memorial service will be 3pm Saturday, January 25th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
