RIVERTON, Ill. - Clarine M. Valencia, 87, died on Monday, April 21, 2014, at her residence. Clarine was born on Sept. 26, 1926, in Glasgow, Ky., the daughter of John Thomas and Martha Annie Roberson Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Wanda Louise Otto and Martha Roberta Baker; and ten siblings. She is survived by eight children, Linda Carol (Webster) Allen of Tovey, Jeanetta Lapiccola of Springfield, Michael Joseph (Tina) Humphrey of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Richard Allen (Sheryl) Humphrey of Tovey, Victor Manuel (Mary) Valencia of Springfield, Teresa Joyce Meyer-Valencia of Springfield, Patricia Lynn (Marty) Merz of Ind., and John Thomas Valencia of Springfield; one sister, Hazel Schwartz of Chicago; thirty-five grandchildren; fifty-eight great-grandchildren; twenty great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014, until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Ellinger-! Kunz & Park Funeral Home.
