AUSTIN - [photo]. Milton B. Woodcock, 64, of Austin, died peacefully Tuesday April 15, 2014 at the Bowling Green Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1950 in Barren County to Ernestine Lyons Woodcock and the late James Murrell Woodcock. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Mae (Birge) Woodcock and a son, James Edgar Woodcock of Austin, a sister: Barbara Kidd; his brother-in-law: Eddie Dale Birge (Lisa) of Austin. Several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many good friends and neighbors also survive. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Emogene (Garrett) Reece. Milton was employed by the Barren County Board of Education and worked at Austin Tracy School. He took great pride in serving his school family and the children there. These were among his happiest years. Milton served on the Board of Directors for Kentucky Chapter 24 of the International Harvesters Tractors Collectors Club and the Austin Tracy Volunteer Fire Department. He was a charter member and firefighter for 30 years. Funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Union #1 Church. Visitation will be after noon on Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday at Union #1 Church.
