ALBANY, KY - Mrs. Nora Alice Lane Kennedy, age 69, of Albany, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Pickett County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Byrdstown, Tennessee. She was born in Barren County, Kentucky on Thursday, July 20, 1944, the daughter of the late Jim and Essie Vaughn Lane. She was a member of the Albany First United Methodist Church and a Nurse's Aide at the Clinton County Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Lane. She is survived by her husband, Paris Hugh Kennedy, whom she married on Thursday, March 16, 1972, her daughter, Sharon Massingill (and Danny) Shearer of Richmond, Kentucky, her sisters, Frances Hogue of Barren County, Kentucky and Ruth Osborne of Danville, Illinois, her brother, Jim Lane, Jr. of Barren County, Kentucky, her sister-in-law, Brenda Lane of Oakwood, Illinois, her grandson, Kyle Edward (and Brittney) Massingill, her great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Massingill and several nie! ces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral Services were held on Monday, March 17, 2014 in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Shoemaker and Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Carl Ferguson, Jeremy Ferguson, David Claywell, Nicky Smith, Willard Johnson, Jerry Bond and David Hogue.
