GLASGOW - [Photo} Mary Brownfield McGuire, 85, Glasgow, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at NHC of Glasgow. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Smith Brownfield and Minnie Sowers Brownfield. She was formerly a sales clerk at J. C. Penney in Glasgow and book keeper at Glasgow Electric Motor. She was a member of the Glenview Christian Church where she was also an avid member of the church choir. Survivors include one sister: Anna Gibbs of Glasgow; one sister-in-law: Sally Brownfield of Glasgow; three nieces: Carolyn Chambers and husband Richard and Marla Edwards and husband Jeff all of Glasgow, Linda Templeton of Costa Rica; one nephew: Tony Brownfield and wife Donna of Glasgow; 9 great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Paul "Ken" McGuire and four brothers: Wendell, Raymond, Jewell "Dee", and Eugene Brownfield. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
