GLASGOW - Evajane Somes "Eve" Harris, age 89 of Glasgow, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Barren County Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. Mrs. Harris was born December 1, 1924 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Rose Agnes Robbins Somes and Harold S. Somes, and was the widow of the late Myron L. Harris. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a grandson, Mark Harrison. Mrs. Harris was an active member of the Far Off Broadway Players, The First United Methodist Church, ABCL duplicate bridge club and the PEO. Survivors include one daughter Dana Lee Pawson and husband Steve of Sandusky, OH; three sons Richard D. Harris of Metcalfe County, Tim and Terry Harris of Glasgow; 9 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, three great-granddaughters and six great-grandsons; 3 brothers Gil and Wayne Somes of Soo, MI and Richard Somes of Mississippi; 2 sisters Millie Radley of Soo, MI and Sharon Woodruff of Texarkana, TX and a special cousin Elaine Bell of Leesburg, FL. Mrs. Harris chose cremation with her ashes to be taken to her son's property in Metcalfe County. A Celebration of Life service will be held there at a date soon to be announced.
