GLASGOW - Robert Steve Redford 80 of Glasgow died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. Born in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Molly Rush Redford. Steve was retired from Eaton Axle in Glasgow and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Allen Lodge #24 F&AM in Glasgow and a member of the Siloam Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter Donna Symons (Barry) of Glasgow; his son John Redford of Etoile; 3 grandchildren Ashley Browning, Matthew and Ryan Redford; 3 great-grandchildren Hadley Grace Redford, Brooks and Baylor Browning, and his special friend Mazelle Pennington of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by three brothers Roger, Thomas and Earl Redford and two sisters Ree Sherfield and Roxie Sewell. Funeral services will be 11am Friday, May 30th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Sid Yokley Cemetery in Tompkinsville with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will begin at 4pm Thursday.
