GLASGOW - Sylvia Gentry Turner,76, of Glasgow formerly of the White Oak Ridge Community passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Barren County Health Care in Glasgow. She was born July 24, 1937 in Monroe County, KY to the late James Haskell Gentry and Lena Mae Green Gentry. She was a retired factory worker and a member of White Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters: Pam Gearlds and husband Phillip of Glasgow Kathy Turner of Gamaliel, three sisters: Gertrude Meadows of Louisville Brenda Dyer of Franklin, KY, Sandra White of Adolphus, 5 grandchildren: Kristy Sewell and husband Will, Jennifer Smith and husband B.J., Jonathan Gearlds and wife Bethany, Mandy Williams and Misty Sprowls and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald Gentry and James Lester Gentry. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 11 at 11:00 AM at the White Oak Ridge Baptist Church with burial to follow in the White Oak Ridge Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Thursday at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel and after 9:00 AM on Friday at the White Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to the White Oak Ridge Cemetery.
