Name: James Joe "J. D." Bush [Black] Residence: Glasgow KY Born: 26 Feb 1921 Barren Co KY Died: Sunday, 30 Dec 2007, NHC Health Care in Glasgow, age 86. Son of the late Charlie and Rebecca Johnson Bush During his work life, was employed by Howard Clinic, the Ky Dept of Transportation and R R Donnelley and Sons. In his spare time, he loved gardening, fishing, hunting, eating out at restaurants with family and friends. He was a talented artist, painted murals in several local churches after retirement. His public service work in the community over the years earned him two coveted honors: Jefferson Award finalist (1982) and Kentucky Colonel. Member First Baptist Church in Glasgow, avid student of the Bible, devoted Bible teacher in which he dedicated many years in teaching Sunday School and Baptist Training Union courses. Was a member of the Missionary Society and was for over 60 years a deacon in the church. He accepted leadership roles in the church, Chairman of the Deacon Board, Chairman of the Courtesy Committee and Chairman of the Liberty District Association and their Trustee Boarad. He had a special place in his heart for the church and worked until his health failed h! im. Preceded also in death by: All of his brothers: Robert, Cecil and Raymond Bush all of his sisters: Maybelle Howard Lee and Florine Herndon Survivors: Loving and devoted wife of 62 years: Willie Bush Three married daughters: Saundra (Russell) Vertner of Indianapolis IN, Cheryl (Larry) Huffman of Bolingbrook IL and LaTokia (Rondall) Trigg of Greer SC Three grandchildren: Toriano Huffman, Leandra Huffman and Ryan Pintado-Vertner Five great-grandchildren: Brittane Huffman, Torian Huffman, Chase Huffman, Salome Pintad-Vertner and Malik Pintado-Vertner Host of other special relatives and friends.
