Steubenville Daily Herald, Stubenville OH, Thursday, Mar 11, 1875, p. 1: "A man named J M BASHAM, Deputy Sheriff, was shot and killed by A L HAUCKINS in a difficulty at Glasgow, Ky., yesterday."
