Jan 21, 1875 issue: Married at the EVANS house in Glasgow on Wed evening the 13th, by Elder ALLEN, Mr Henry MASTERS and Miss Martha JONES. Married at the residence of the bride's father,Isaac WILCOXIN, near Hiseville, Jan 13th,by the Rev. W R GODBY, J E KING and Miss Sue WILCOXIN. Attendants were Geo W MAGGARD and Miss Mary WILCOXIN, J W DUFF and Miss Ermine PEMBERTON. On Thursday evening, Jan 14th at half past 5 o'clock, at the residence of the bride's father, James H PEERS, by Elder James BROOKS, John R STEPHENS to Miss Fannie PEERS. Attendants: Miss Sunie GARMAN and David EUBANK, all of this county. The bride is one of Barren's lovely daughers and John is the lucky man. Hiseville KY, Jan 16th, 1875: "I will head this article with the death of Mrs. Amanda WEST, wife of Mr. R H WEST and daughter of Mrs Polina PEDIGO. After suffering for a long while from consumption she died the 13th inst, fully resigned to the will of God. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn his loss besides a large number of relatives and friends. She was a most estimable lady and loved by all who knew her. Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. T W Biggs, after which she was buried in the family grave yard at Mr. D F West's with her little babe, which was taken from its grave near Omega, Hart county, where it was buried last May. Jan 14, 1875 issue: Married on Jan 12th, near Glasgow, by Rev. J S KEEN, G W PAYNE of Christian Co to Miss Mary S HALL of Barren Co. Same issue: "We learned yesterday of a sad death which occurred near Marrow Bone on Saturday night last. Pembroke ROWE, the son of Mr. James T ROWE, a highly respectable citizen of Crocus Creek in Cumberland County, came over to Glasgow on Friday to sell a fast trotting horse and remained here until Saturday morning, and started for home. Nothing was heard of him until Sunday morning when he was found frozen to death on the roadside. His father is represented to us as being one of the most substantial men of Cumberland, and young ROWE as being a very energetic, clever young man. His remains were carried to his home for interment." Jan 7, 1875 issue: Married, at the residence of the bride's mother, near Glasgow Junction, Dec 2nd, 1874, by Rev. Mr HAWKINS, Wm BUCKINGHAM to Miss Sarah J BECKNER,. At St Paul's church in Louisville on Dec 9th, 1874, by Rev. E T PERKINS, Joseph POUTCH of Glasgow Juncion to Miss Sarah FORT of Louisville. On Dec 23rd 1874 by Rev. Mr WALTON, Marion SELF to Nancy E COOK. At the residence of Judge W C YORK, Glasgow Juncion on Dec 24th 1874 by Rev J S PARRISH, Wm BRANNUM of Bowling Green to Mrs Mattie A PALMER and also L M WALKER of Bowling Green to Miss Emmz YORK. Jan 7, 1875 issue: "We regret to learn that Ms. Col McMILLAN, of Hiseville, died on Monday morning last at six o'clock. She was buried at the family burying ground of Mr. Buck Pedigo's farm, on Beaver Creek, on Tuesday." Dec 24, 1874 issue: "Yesterday evening, Dec 23rd, 1874, at the residence of the bride's mother, Ms. Nancy DEARING, on East Main Street, by Rev. James BROOKS, F M LASWELL of Evanville IN to Miss Sarah DEARING of this place." To be continued next week.
