I am requesting that any discussion about rootsweb/ancestry.com not be discussed on the list. I am aware of the situation and not one bit concerned about it. I know some web pages are moving to different servers, this was the choice of those who maintain those pages. Ancestry.com, The Geneations Network,etc are not going to steal my data or anyone else's, they are not going to sell it. Rootsweb is free and will remain so. I am not personally in favor of moving sites to different servers but I had no say so in the decision and am not upset with those who decided to make changes. I just do not find it necessary to discuss this on the list which is a rootsweb list. Rootsweb has supported us free of charge for many years and made it possible to find a place for county and speciality boards, lists ..... and more. So please take any discussion off-list or I will have to put the list on moderation - meaning I will need to approve messages before they are posted. I am expecting to continue posting to my various lists and boards for many years to come - you will not have to make any changes to your posts or addresses. Trust me, please.
