GLASGOW - Brother William Neal "Bill" Smith [photo], 68, of Glasgow, was taken to his home in heaven on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011. He was born in Barren County April 16, 1943, the son of the late Arthur and Delsie Farley Smith. He was a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church and he owned and operated several business including Beckton County Store and Deli and Smith's Garage and Wreckere Service for over 30 years as well as beging a Baptist minister. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wanda Joyce Ragle Smith; three children, Daniel Neal Smith (Fiancee Kelly Miller), Melissa McCoy Smith (Tim) and Melanie Shrout (Patrick) all of Glasgow; seven grandchildren Jason and Brian Shrout, Shiloh and Garren McCoy, Keith and Kelsey Wilson and Savanah Reece; three great-grandchildren; six sisters, May Likens, Vay France, Mary McPeak, Shirley Crews, Diana Smith and Debbie Decker; two brothers, Kenneth C. Smith and Billy Ray Smith, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur Edward, John William, Charles Clifton and Rollin Eugene Smith. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday and continue Sunday until time for service.
