GLASGOW - Nannie Emogene Evans Kidd [photo], 89, of Glasgow, died Tuesday night, Aug. 23, 2011, at the Glasgow Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Cumberland County, a daughter of the late Otis and Nannie Goff Phillips. She was a seamstress and formerly employed at Handmacher in Glasgow. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. She is survived by two sons, Jim Evans (Judy) and David Evans (Tina), both of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Mark, Kent and Alexis Blackburn, Casey Evans, Trevor Evans and Kali Evans Ehrhart; three great-grandchildren, McKensie Blackburn, Draylon Sherfey and Elias Erheart; a sister, Betty England, and a brother, Billy Phillips both of Houstonville; a brother-in-law, Louis Turner of Elizabeth, Ind.; several cousins and the step-grandchildren of Leon Kidd. She was preceded in death by two husbands, James Alexander Evans and Leon Kidd, and a sister Dorothy Turner. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cumberland County. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
