ADOLPHUS - James Butler Broady, 70, of Adolhus, died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Aubust 14, 2011 at his residence. The Barren County, Ky native was a retired school bus driver, farmer and mechanic, retired Assistant Transportation Director for the Allen County school System, a founding member and Fire Chief for 20 years of South Allen Fire Department, member of Mt. Union United Methodist Church and Graham Lodge #208 F&AM. He was a son of Eddie Jewell Broady, who survives, and the late Laura Francis Crews Broady. He is survived by his wife; Sandra Blankenship Broady, Adolphus; 2 sons: Ernie Broady and wife, Deniese, Adolphus, Ky., and Mark Broady and wife Susan, Scottsville, Kyk; His father; Eddie Jewell Broady, Glasgow, Ky; 3 grandchildren: Janetta Gray and husband Patrick; Jessica Gibson and husband, Jason; Jeremy Broady and finance, Haven Porter; 1 great grandson: James Charles "J.C." Gray. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Janice Ruth Broady. Funeral services for James Butler broady will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 178, 2011 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Pruitt and Bro. Wayne Keen officiating and burial in Mt. Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after noon Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home. Graham Lodge #208 F&AM will hold masonic rites at 7 .m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home.
