    3. I'm not much closer than I was in solving this "mystery". Elaine Branham on the list and I have been working and here is all we've found. We may never know what happened unless some of the family knows! 9 Sept 1846 Sara(h) Angeline McKinney born in Butler Co, d/o James & Liddy Hopkins McKinney/McKenney 26 Apr 1873 She married William Francis (Frank) Peay in Butler Co. 1880 Both are on the census for Butler CO. 1891 William Francis Peay dies in Butler Co, buried Big Muddy Cemetery 1895 According to one family tree; she marries Peter S McKinney in Butler Co. Now - this would have been his 3rd wife; cannot find the marriage record 1900 Census - Peter S. is living in a Gaskey household, shown as WIDOW. This casts doubt on the marriage. 1900 Census - Sarah not found. 1905 Peter S. McKenney dies, supposed to be buried in Big Sandy Cemetery in Butler Co. No such cemetery that I can find - there is a Sandy Creek and a Big Muddy. He is not shown in either. 1910 Sarah is listed in the census as a widow in Butler Co. 1920 Sarah is listed in the census as a widow in Butler Co. 19 May 1923 - Sarah dies in Muhlenburg Co KY, buried at Big Muddy Cemetery in Butler Co. Her death certificate shows the informant was Arthur Peay. Her name is shown as Sara and Sarah; Angaline and Angeline, but is the same person. I doubt if she was married again to this Peter S. McKinney/McKinney; I think he was possibly a relative - but I might be wrong! We tried! Thanks for all the e-mails and help!
